Student Success Coaches/Advisors are on hand in the Student Success Center throughout the semester, as well as between semesters to assist students. Academic advising goes well beyond the one-time question of “How do I register for classes?” Coaches are on hand to help students deal with problems that come up in the course of their academic careers. Our goal is to help students deal with any “barriers” they might encounter in their path in a productive and timely way, thereby enabling them to be successful in reaching their academic goals.
The advising staff in the Student Success Center makes every effort to help students in their areas of need. Coaches are always available on a walk-in basis or by appointment to help register students, answer questions, discuss academic goals, and act as a general mentor. Coaches also act as a reference point by directing students to resources that can help them to be successful in college.

Every student is also assigned a faculty advisor who is knowledgeable about the student’s declared major. Students with curriculum questions are encouraged to meet with their faculty advisor for assistance.
