Welcome to Career Development Services!

Career Development Services provides a
range of support for both students and alumni:

  • One-to-one career exploration and counseling,
  • Resume assistance and cover letter writing,
  • Job search training (i.e., interviewing, soft skills training, etc.),
  • Job readiness & displacement assistance,
  • Training workshops (e.g., open resume-writing, LinkedIn, appropriate business/interview attire, etc.), and
  • Job Fairs and other events with employers.

Starting February 16, 2017, all students have been pre-registered on College Central Network and are required to use their NCSC Student ID as their CCN User ID. The User ID must be 10 digits long, so if your ID has fewer than 10 digits, include zeroes at the beginning (for example: 0001234567).     The State of Ohio job matching system allows anyone to post resumes and get job leads. Employers can also post jobs. Ohio Means Jobs also has a large job searching toolkit that you can utilize in addition to NCSC Career Development Services.
  • Occupational Outlook Handbook
    The Occupational Outlook Handbook is published by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is a guide to hundreds of different careers in the United States, providing information about the nature of work, working conditions, training and education required, earnings, and job market outlook of the different occupations. This resource is valuable in the FYEX 0070 course.
  • Job Board Websites
    In addition to College Central Network, our community job board with local listings and OhioMeansJobs.com, you may be interested in searching for jobs on other online job boards. Here are links to other online resources:
