Career Development Services provides a range
of support for both students and alumni:
One-on-one career exploration and counseling,
Resume assistance and cover letter writing,
Job search training (i.e., interviewing, soft skills training, etc.),
Job readiness & displacement assistance,
Training workshops (e.g., open resume-writing, LinkedIn, appropriate business/interview attire, etc.), and
Job Fairs and other events with employers.

Job & Internship Fair—Looking for a full-time, part-time, summer job, or internship? We have employers from all industries who come recruit at our on-campus Job and Internship Fair! This open house, come-and-go event is for all students and alumni from every major. Dress for success and bring copies of your resume! Giveaways for attending! Stay tuned for the next on-campus fair!
Resume Bootcamps—Come work on your resume in a computer lab while getting one-on-one attention from the career services and internship staff! This is great prep for the spring Job & Internship Fair in March and other large networking events!

Occupational Outlook Handbook
The Occupational Outlook Handbook is published by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is a guide to hundreds of different careers in the United States, providing information about the nature of work, working conditions, training and education required, earnings, and job market outlook of the different occupations. This resource is valuable in the FYEX 0060 course.

College Central is a community job board, connecting NC State students & alumni to local employers. This career management network allows you to post jobs, interact with applicants, review resumes and portfolios, and more. If you’d like to create an account, follow the link and select “Employers.” From there, you will "Create Account" and register. After your access is approved, you'll be able to log-in and post job descriptions as your organization has openings! College Central is a shared service with the OSU-Mansfield campus, so you'll have access to the entire campus' student body and alumni network when you post on our job board.
