Apply for Admission
North Central State College has an “open door” admission policy. General admission is open to high school graduates or those who have attained high school equivalency (GED). Select high school students may be offered admission through select early college programs. To apply, go to http://www.ncstatecollege.edu/apply and then click on the tab “create an account”. After submitting the account information please click on “start application” to complete the application. There is no application fee.
Application for Special Programs
Certain programs at North Central State College have selective requirements. Although you may be accepted to the College, you need to make a separate application and have taken certain course work if you plan on majoring in Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiological Sciences, and Respiratory Care. For an application and deadlines for any of these programs, refer to each degree or contact the appropriate college division.
Current high school students need to submit a partial transcript that shows credit earned through the junior year. A final transcript will be required after graduation. If you have already earned a high school diploma or GED, the appropriate transcript or test score must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. Failure to submit the appropriate records will prevent students from registering for classes or receiving any financial aid consideration. Transcripts are required for any scholarship consideration. Transfer students can submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities. Your transfer credit will be evaluated and the results mailed to you. Send transcripts to: Admissions Office, North Central State College, 2441 Kenwood Circle, Mansfield, OH 44906.
The Student Success and Transition Center administers the Compass placement test by appointment to those students who have not taken the ACT test to ensure you are placed in the appropriate classes. We must have either your ACT scores or your placement test scores on file. Transfer students should identify themselves as such, as placement testing may not be necessary. If you have questions, give the Student Success and Transition Center a call at 419-755-4764, choose option 2.
