Continuous Quality Improvement
Program at NC State
North Central State College (NC State) is accredited by the
Higher Learning Commission* (HLC)
of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools and is approved by the Ohio Department of
Education and the Ohio Board of Regents.
NC State was accepted into the HLC's Academic Quality Improvement Program
(AQIP) in 2005. The continuous quality improvement program "infuses the principles and
benefits of continuous improvement into the culture of colleges and universities
by providing an alternative process through which an already-accredited
institution can maintain its accreditation. With our continuous quality
improvement focus, the college "demonstrates it meets accreditation standards and expectations through sequences
of events that align with ongoing activities that characterize organizations
striving to improve their performance."
North Central State College's Current Status as
an Continuous Quality Improvement Institution
hosted an AQIP Quality Check-up Visit in November 2010, submitted our Quality
Highlights report in August 2011 and our new/updated Systems Portfolio in
November 2011, and received a recommendation for Reaffirmation of Accreditation
and the Systems Appraisal Feedback Report
in February 2012.
More information about North Central State College's participation in AQIP can
