My name is Margaret Puckett.  I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which automatically makes me an avid Steeler fan.  I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  Family living here in Ohio encouraged my husband and me to move, and we have been here thirty years.  (However, my love for the Black and Gold has not worn off.)

While living in Ohio, I have worked in a preschool - as teacher and director; taught elementary school - serving several years as head teacher; earned a masters degree, and taught college.  I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction degree from Ashland University.  Writing the practicum (100 page book) was a wonderful challenge and learning experience which has formed the foundation for my teaching here.

I joined the staff of NC State in September, 1999.  I love my job!  Working with students, whether tutoring, advising, or teaching, is fun.  No two days are ever the same, and the people are great.  I look forward to serving here for many years to come.

     Hope to see you around.
