How To Prepare for Your Interview

For assistance with the job search, please contact mrodriguez@ncstatecollege.edu.

Do your homework...

Review your resume and take one copy for each person interviewing you (if you are not sure, more is better).

Read Commonly Asked Interview Questions and think about possible responses.

Familiarize yourself with the Illegal Interview Questions  and be prepared!

Tell your references with whom you are interviewing and provide them with a copy of your resume.

Research the company and community.  The company web site is a great place to start.

Drive out the night before so you are sure where you are going.

Complete a mock interview.

Write down questions you would like to ask about the job, company, etc. and take it with you to the interview.

Dress appropriately.

Be positive and enthusiastic but NEVER cocky during the interview!
