North Central State College invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of President. The Board of Trustees has appointed a Search Committee advised by ACCT, the Association of Community College Trustees, to review applications.

North Central State College sits on 600 beautiful wooded acres with walking paths and streams, sharing a campus with a branch of The Ohio State University. This location is accessible to the growing community of Ontario and is fifteen minutes from historic downtown Mansfield. North Central State College’s 3500 students attend classes and activities housed in ten campus buildings. Kehoe Center for Advanced Learning opened its doors in January, 2002, and has hosted statewide workforce development visionaries and programs, fully utilizing its conference facilities and training labs. It houses a nationally recognized Integrated Systems Technology laboratory and the regional Advanced Manufacturing Tool & Die Center, as well as an EnterpriseOhio Network’s Skillsmax Center. The University Center at Kehoe offers baccalaureate and graduate degree completion programs through NC State’s many university partners. Each April, prominent entrepreneurs are inducted to the prestigious North Central Ohio Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame, also housed in the Kehoe Center.

North Central State College, a public two-year community-based educational institution serving the residents of north central Ohio, offers high quality, technical education in more than 60 associate degree and certificate programs in Health, Business, Public Service, and Engineering Technologies, as well as customized workforce training programs. The College enrolls 3500 students quarterly and is the largest public college within a 75 mile radius. Chartered in 1961, NC State was recently lauded by the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) of the NCA’s Higher Learning Commission and the National Achieving the Dream Framework for Institutional Improvement, for its quality initiatives. Graduates in the college’s health and public services programs continue to lead the state in percentage of graduates passing their board exams for licensure the first time it is attempted – scoring well above the national averages in every category.

NC State graduates enjoy a 95% employment rate and a growing number of transfer and reverse transfer students are matriculating to and from Ohio’s public colleges and universities due to the ease of credit transfer.

Tuition at NC State is $81 per credit hour. The College employs 200 full-time employees of whom 70 are full-time faculty and manages a $20M operating budget.

A growing segment of the open enrollment is high school students participating in a variety of programs including Tech Prep, Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO), Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit, and CollegeNOW and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland’s Seniors to Sophomores initiative. North Central is a lead partner in the development of a multi-county P-16 Council, charged with improving access to education and increasing prosperity of individuals by meeting the changing employment needs of regional business and manufacturing.
