TUITION REMISSION: PART-TIME EMPLOYEES
1. The applicant for tuition remission at North Central State College must be a current employee of the College as part-time faculty or staff.
2. Part-time faculty members who teach at least one (1) course during an academic year (summer, fall, winter, spring) are eligible (beginning the quarter following the completion of teaching one course) to take a maximum of one (1) tuition-remitted course at the College during that specific academic year or the following academic year.
3. The College will waive instructional fees for permanent part-time staff and their immediate family members pro-rated based upon full-time equivalent.
4. Maintain grade point average of 2.0. The student’s cumulative grade point average will be reviewed quarterly to ensure this minimum is met.
CREDIT COURSE - PART-TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE COLLEGE
The College will pay instructional and general fees for any credit course taken by eligible part-time College employees. All other fees will be non-remitted. An employee wishing to take one or more courses must, however, gain the approval of his/her immediate supervisor. The purpose of this requirement is to allow for the supervisor’s determination that the course(s) will not interfere with the employee’s performance of his/her total College responsibility.
NON-CREDIT AND CEU COURSES
The College will pay instructional and general fees for non-credit courses taken by part-time College employee providing: (1) that the eligible part-time employee have the approval of their immediate supervisor; (2) that space is available; (3) that the non-credit and CEU course is adequately funded from sources other than tuition remission.
