NC
State Campus Tour:
The design of this facility was a joint venture of MKC Associates of Mansfield and Lorenz & Williams of Dayton, Ohio. The facility opened for classes in the fall of 1994.
This building is home to NC State's Health Sciences Division. Within the Center are teaching facilities for 11 programs or departments that include an auditorium, general classrooms, pharmacy lab, radiographic lab, physical therapy lab, therapeutic recreation lab, massage therapy lab, nursing labs, respiratory therapy lab, and anatomy and physiology labs.
In addition to the teaching classrooms and laboratories, there is an Audio Visual/Computer Center open for student use on the second floor. This lab contains an extensive collection of supplemental instructional materials that support the courses in the Health Sciences programs.
In the second floor lobby is an artwork by Sandra Amitay entitled "Body of Water/Field of Time." This collection of porcelain and clay sculptures was funded through the Ohio Percent for Art program and depicts the progression of students through their courses of study and to professional careers in the community.
