Assessment Committee Goals for 2009-10 

CLO assessment:

  • Develop and promote the Culture and Community CLO – pilot test spring

  • Advocate for embedding CLOs in course outcomes and assessments

  • Advocate for including program level learning outcomes and core learning outcomes assessment in the curriculum approval processes of the Curriculum Committee

  • Evaluate data from graduate surveys, CCSSE, and Computer Literacy assessment

  • Evaluate and scale-up the Computation CLO assessment in conjunction with to-be-determined core curriculum

  • Provide rubrics and other assessment tools for use at program level for embedded CLO assessment

  • Evaluate Computer Literacy CLO – upgrade to information literacy?

  • Review the CLO assessment schedule, conduct CLO assessments

  • Investigate/promote the identification of multiple data capture points for CLO assessment as part of semester conversion

Program level learning outcomes assessment:

  • Keep current with Program/Department Level Learning Outcomes Assessment on the Student Success Plan

  • Assist with development of 5 Column Report for AA/AS degree

  • Make Core Learning Outcomes part of the 5-Column Report template and procedure

  • Provide feedback to faculty on 5 Column Reports

Long-Term Goals

  • Investigate a policy regarding student participation in CLO assessment as a graduation requirement, possible assessment day/week

  • Improve the use of technology in capturing assessment data
