Click on the gold diamond MyNC link at the top of this page. Click the Log In tab on the MyNC Main Menu.
UserName
Your username consists of:
-
The first five letters of your last name
-
Followed by your first initial
-
Followed by your middle initial
-
Followed by the month you were born (two digits)
-
Followed by the day your were born (two digits)
For example: The username for a student named Jessica Ann Monroe, with a birth date of September 8th would be: monroja0908.

Password
Your password has been initially set to the last four digits of your Social Security number. The first time you log in, you will be required to change your password and will receive a message that your password has expired. Your old password is what you used to get to this point (first time login will be the last four of your social security number). Your new password must be 6-9 characters and contain at least one number. Symbols are not allowed. You can not use your last 4 previous passwords.

Hint Box: Use the Hint option when setting your password. You can't enter your password as the hint but use something that jogs your memory. Symbols are not allowed.
|

|
|
Locked Out?
Users will have five attempts at their password before their account is locked out. Accounts locked due to failed password attempts will automatically reset after five minutes.

Forgot Your Password?
If you forget your password, follow the link What’s My Password on the MyNC Main Menu. If you reset your password, keep in mind MyNC remembers your four most recent passwords and will not let you reuse them.

Password Reset
You can reset your own password by following these steps:
-
Go to the Main menu of MyNC (no need to log in).

Click the "What's My Password?" link in the lower right corner.

Click "Reset my password" link.

Enter your last name and either your SSN or ID. The ID must contain the leading zeros. For example, if your ID is 500, you must enter 0000500. All IDs are 7 digits.

Select your email address from the drop-down list. The system will only display your ncstudent email address. If you have not been assigned a student email account yet please call the IT Service Desk to have your password reset.

The system will email you a temporary password from with a subject of "WebAdvisor response". There is a line with your temporary password, similar to wand94kee. (Don't use the period.)

Login with your new password. The system will prompt you to change your password.

You can use the Class Search without logging into MyNC. Click the gold diamond magnifying glass button at the top of any page.

Using the Worksheet
|
|
|
|
My Registration Worksheet is a list of classes you’re interested in taking this quarter. Use the worksheet to look for time and location conflicts. You must add classes to the worksheet before you can register.
If you prefer to use a paper worksheet, you can download and print out the Trial Schedule Worksheet. However, you will have to transfer the information to My Registration Worksheet in MyNC before you can register online.

Classes can be added or dropped from your schedule using MyNC until the last day to add a class for the current quarter. This date varies by quarter and can be found on the Academic Calendar.

You can drop a class online through MyNC within the first 5 days of each semester for full semester classes. After that time you will need to go to Student Records to withdraw from a class. For flex classes call Student Records for drop online dates.
