BSI 100 - Introduction to Biotechnology
Monday & Wednesday, 5:00 - 7:50 PM
Introduction to Biotechnology is designed to give students an introduction to the scientific concepts and laboratory research techniques currently used in the field of biotechnology. Students develop laboratory skills, critical thinking, and communication skills currently used in the biotechnology industry. Through extensive reading, laboratory work, and workplace experiences, students will explore and evaluate career opportunities in the field of biotechnology.
BSI 110 - Introduction to Forensic Toxicology
Tuesday & Thursday, 2:00 - 4:50 PM
This course is intended for students taking one course in forensic toxicology. The overall organization of the course is grouped into three sections: Part I (Introduction), Part II (Methodologies), and Part III (Analytes). Parts I and II comprise approximately one-half the course and Part III the remaining half.

BIO 146 - Human Anatomy & Physiology II
Monday & Wednesday, 4:30 - 5:55 PM
This course is a continuation of BIO 145. It includes the examination of the nervous system, special senses, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, immunity, and blood. Laboratory exercises are designed to supplement lecture topics and include microscopy, the study of models, dissection, cadaver study, and physiological experiments.
HLT 101 - CPR and First Aide American Heart Association - Must be Certified by American Heart Association as an Instructor
Thursday, 9:00 - 11:00 AM
A practical course in the care and handling of victims of common emergencies, i.e., transportation and household accidents and climate related emergencies. Areas include basic life support, victim assessment, shock, bleeding, bandaging, splinting, burns, poisoning, medical emergencies, rescue and moving victims, and triage. Students who meet the examination requirements will receive both a Community First Aid and Safety card from American Red Cross and a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals card from the American Heart Association.
