OFFICE ASSISTANT

North Central State College is accepting resumes for Office Assistant in the Liberal Arts division. 

 

Essential duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:    

 

Clerical Support

  • Route incoming mail
  • Prepare outgoing mail
  • File correspondence and other records for the division
  • Compose, type, proofread, and duplicate routine correspondence, memos, reports, exams, brochures, etc.
  • Answer telephone and provide information to callers or route call to appropriate person and places outgoing calls as needed
  • Schedule appointments for faculty and Dean as needed
  • Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business, and direct visitors to appropriate person
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Administrative Support 
  • Assist with student appraisals of faculty effectiveness forms and maintain confidentiality of same
  • Assist with maintenance/revision of division syllabi, division worksheets, agency agreement information, miscellaneous marketing materials, newsletter, etc.
  • Assist Division page master as necessary
  • Assist with data entry and retrieval in Encore
  • Take meeting minutes as required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in Office Administration, Business Management or related preferred

MATH FACULTY

9-Month

 

North Central State College is accepting applications for a full-time, 9-month Math Faculty member. The position will begin Spring Semester (January 12, 2015).

 

 

Essential duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintains minimum of 15 credit/18 contact hours of classroom or laboratory instruction per termand reflects a 40 hour work week.
  • Meets with all classes as scheduled and provides the full component of instruction.
  • Provides appropriate assistance and supervision to students in all classrooms or laboratories.
  • Delivers instruction based on the learning objectives and course outcomes found in the official College syllabus.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate course materials to be distributed to students.
  • Maintains current knowledge and skills in the faculty member’s discipline and in teaching strategies.
  • Holds at least four (4) office hours per week for student consultation and advisement.
  • Maintains accurate academic records for all students.
  • Maintains accurate attendance records for all students.
  • Reports attendance information, midterm deficiencies, and final termgrade to the Student Records Office in the manner and by the dates specified.
  • Operates within the organizational structure and policies of the College.
  • Attends departmental, divisional, and professional development meetings and other College activities as required.
  • Attends graduation ceremonies and assists as requested.
  • Assists the divisional dean, assistant dean, and/or program coordinator in maintaining an inventory of appropriate educational supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping and safety rules in laboratories and classrooms.
  • Maintains security of College property.
  • Serves on College committees.
  • Performs community service including serving on and working with community organizations, area agencies, and /or advisory committees.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping, safety, and security in laboratory and classroom.
  • Assists in maintaining appropriate educational supplies and equipment in laboratory and classroom.
  • Maintains professional relationships with students, peers, and staff to promote competence, education, and training related to program.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in mathematics required; PhD preferred.
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience preferred.

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS, RECRUITING AND GATEWAY SERVICES

 

North Central State College is accepting resumes for a Director of Admissions, Recruiting and Gateway Services.  The Director manages the day-to-day operations of the Admissions and Recruitment functions and enrollment processes, as well as the functional operations that are essential for students to begin higher education careers with a strong start.

 

Essential duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Gateway Management                                                                                                                            

  •     Responsible for overall Gateway management, including recruitment, admissions and pathways supporting successful application and acceptance for each student group
  •     Oversee computerized tracking of prospective students through CRM processes from prospect through accepted status, including prospect management and communications management
  •     Track students through admissions funnel to ensure communication with applicants regarding necessary steps to enroll at North Central State College
  •      Provide feedback and detailed reporting on Gateway activities weekly, daily or monthly, as requested by the Dean of Students and Enrollment Management
  •       Analyze application and enrollment trends to proactively respond and adjust territory recruitment strategies
  •       Adhere to specific enrollment targets and fulfill identified recruitment goals
  •       Verify that all Gateway personnel are properly trained and take steps to improve the level of proficiency, retrain as needed
  •       Manage scheduled weekly meetings and analyze weekly reports to set strategic plans to meet assigned admissions goals
  •       Perform other duties as assigned

Student Recruitment                                                                                                               

·   Develop a comprehensive plan for student recruitment including coordination of events, visits and appointments, inclusion of marketing materials, communication sequences, CRM (Recruiter)campaign management and timelines for corresponding with prospective student groups

  •     Develop and oversee maintenance of the prospective student database and ensure data accuracy and integrity
  •    Implement and direct recruitment activities

   o        Ensure development and use of the college CRM as a prospect tracking and recruitment tool

   o      Identify events for student recruitment, assign staff to attend and assign marketing materials in cooperation with the Marketing Department to attract student prospects to consider North Central State College as an “institution of choice”

   o      Develop or assist in the development of correspondence (email, social media, and/or hard copy) campaigns

   o      Confer with Marketing regarding the mailing or release of materials in conjunction with the timeline for corresponding with student prospects for each identified campaign

   o      Design clear pathways for all student prospects entering through the Gateway to complete application and acceptance processes

   o      Oversee development of off-campus information sessions for prospective students

   o      Represent the College at a variety of public events

   o      Ensure effective and accurate transmittal of applications from CRM to College ERP system

·               Perform other duties as assigned

Admissions                                                                                                                                            

  •     Manage all staff of Admissions, Intake, Welcome Desk and Switchboard 

                     Determine staffing requirements

                     Review application materials and make admissions decisions

                     Ensure development and use of the Student Information System (Colleague) in Admissions and acceptance processes

                     Include professional development and training activities for all staff on a regular basis

                     Review employee work methods for effectiveness and adherence to established standards

                     Schedule employees for work and assign tasks

                     Review employee record of time worked to verify accuracy.  Approve or deny requests for leaves of absence, overtime, vacation, etc.  in reference to and           consideration of the enrollment process cycle

                   Evaluate employee performance; counsel employees

                Counsel and/or discipline employees relative to conduct issues

                    Ensure effective communication of information to all employees

                    Perform other duties as assigned   

  •    Ensure development and use of the Student Information System in Admissions and acceptance processes
  •    Establish department’s short and long-term goals and objectives, including Admissions conversion rates
  •      Process, analyze and summarize information in order to ensure effective exchange of information in reports, correspondence for use by appropriate committees and administration
  •    Establish department’s short and long-term goals and objectives
  •    Develop, implement and ensure adherence to department policies and procedures
  •     Develop and administer the annual department budget
  •     Process, analyze and summarize information in order to ensure effective exchange of information in reports, correspondence, etc., both for and on behalf of the administration
  •    Establish department recordkeeping systems.  Perform data entry and file materials
  •     Work cooperatively with other College departments to meet goals, support the College’s mission and serve the students
  •    Conduct or attend meetings as needed or required.  Participate on College committees
  •    Develop early learning admission and acceptance process in conjunction with program coordinator
  •    Perform other duties as assigned

 Required Qualifications:

Ø  Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.

Ø  Experience: Five years’ admissions/recruiting experience.
