NC State College IT System Support

The mission of our IT System Support desk is to provide a single point of contact for NC State College’s information & technology needs. The IT System Support Desk Specialist will ensure that all calls are handled promptly, and will provide first level support. The IT Department is committed to quality help through teamwork and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.

Student Support

NC State College's IT System Support  desk gives login and password support to students for Blackboard, Email & MyNC. Online tutorials are available at: www.ncstatecollege.edu/help.

NC State Staff & Faculty

For staff and faculty, the IT System Support desk supports the maintenace and training of the college's: administrative systems, campus computers, e-mail, MyNC, network, phone, printers & smart class rooms.

September 13th, 2010
Student Email Purged

All student email accounts will be purged September 13 and all previous email information will be gone.  Students registered for fall quarter will receive a new email acccount by September 17th.

IT System Support Desk - Single Point of Contact for:

Phone & Voice Mail - All problems, changes, and concerns for phone service and voice mail.

Office Computer Requests- conflicts such as error messages or viruses on your office computer including hardware components such as your monitor and mouse and software.

Software Requests- adding programs, deleting programs, and assisting with the purchase and installation of approved new software for your office computer.

Printer Trouble - printer toner cartridge requests, paper jams and trouble printing your documents from your office computer.

Administrative Systems (Encore and MyNC) -resetting your password, requesting reports, printing reports, and requesting program access changes.

Installation and Equipment Moves-all new installations and relocation of your office computer and related equipment such as phones and printers should be completed by our trained staff. Cables and phone lines may need to be moved to accommodate the changes. Please schedule your installation or relocation of equipment with the System Support Desk at least two weeks in advance.

Network and E-Mail Systems- Network login problems, resetting network passwords, Internet access, and E-mail concerns.
