What is a "Distance" Course?

A distance course is one that utilizes some sort of technology to give you flexibility in either the time and/or place of your learning. This does not usually mean a self-study at your own pace course.

Distance courses generally require you to have good time management, reading, writing, computer and study skills.

Fully Online Course = Sections 92x (ie 920, 921 etc.)
All class activities are online via Blackboard with no on-campus meetings.
Elluminate Hybrid Course = Sections 91x (ie 910, 911 etc.)
Some class activities are online via Blackboard, but there are also regular required live class meeting times online via Elluminate virtual classroom. (No on-campus visits required)
On-Campus Hybrid Course = Sections 90x (ie 900, 901 etc.)
Some class activities are online via Blackboard, but there are also regular required live class meeting times, on-campus.

Please note: For fully online and hybrid courses, the Blackboard course site will be available to you at 8am on the first day of the Quarter.
