Drawings are the communication tool of industry. This program prepares individuals to create drawings for a variety of industrial and commercial products.

Where You Could Go

Graduates could work in any type of manufacturing plant, including metals, plastics, and wood manufacturing, as well as engineering and architectural firms.

NC State has over 40 agreements with four-year colleges and universities, to provide a smooth transition for students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Through university partnerships, some four-year courses are also offered on the NC State campus or online.

What You Could Earn

Average starting salaries in the Mansfield area range from $27,000 to $31,000. 

Job Demand

Nearly 100% of NC State graduates in this field are employed. There continues to be a ready market for those with drafting and design skills in our area.
