Register for Classes

You must be an accepted NC State student before you can register for classes. Fill out the online application to begin the admissions process.

Online registration is available for eligible students. You will still have the option of registering in person at the Student Records Office. However, the Student Records Office will open at 8:00am and web registration will be available beginning at 5:00am, so students using the web will "get the jump" on those who opt to wait and register in person.

Who Can NOT Use Online Registration?

While the majority of NC State students are able to use online registration, some students are not be eligible. The following categories of students are not able to use online registration:

• Post Secondary Enrollment Options students
• Students affected by the financial aid "150% Rule"
• Students who owe an outstanding balance to the college
• Students who are on academic probation
• Students who have been dismissed from the college
• DIRECTIONS program students who have not met with a Student Success Coach/Advisor in the Student Success Center
• New students registering for the first time at the college and have not met with a Student Success Coach/Advisor
• Returning students who have been away from the college for a year or more
• Students who owe library fines, owe payment to the Child Development Center, or whose files have been "frozen" by the College administration

Online Registration Hours of Availability

Web registration is available daily on MyNC from 5:00am to 11:00pm beginning with the first day of priority registration and ending midnight before the first day of the term. This may vary from semester to semester.
