Note to Phi Theta Kappa Members: Commitment to Service The mission of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society is to encourage leadership growth, serve the college and community, and provide an opportunity for fellowship with other members. Beta Theta Eta members of North Central State College are recognized as outstanding scholastic achievers within the college community and are viewed as leaders. As officers, we challenge our members to make the most of their membership by becoming actively involved and supporting projects sponsored by the Beta Theta Eta chapter. The membership enhancement program is designed to acknowledge and award members for their active participation. This five-star level of achievement establishes goals for gold star status and other incentive awards. Being a 5-star chapter, the Beta Theta Eta chapters' representation at events, community projects and campus activities, as well as regional / international events, enhances the awareness of our local honor society and reflects the values and goals we embraced upon induction into the Phi Theta Kappa program. We as members, have chosen to be recognized as "those who do" for the benefit of others. In 2002 Beta Theta Eta was recognized as the Most Outstanding Chapter in Ohio and "top 10" in the nation. Thanks to our dedicated members for their commitment throughout the year. As the chapter enters into its third year we continue our ongoing community service activities and events. In planning for the upcoming year, we can only determine the success of our chapter through active participation. We look forward to seeing our members plan, volunteer, and support many of the upcoming projects as we continue to grow in the years ahead. Respectfully, Your 2002-2003 Chapter Officers |
