Kimberly Lybarger welcomed everyone to the meeting.

The minutes of November 3, 2005 and November 8, 2005 were approved.

Deanna Strauss gave an update on the Problem Solving Workshop which focused on several areas including resisting change, data/strategic planning, and communication.

Nikki Workman has received 3 success stories and a thank-you card from a faculty member to share in our positive messages promotion for student success. Nikki will work to have the stories/messages incorporated into some type of publishing so as to reflect positive feedback to students/staff/faculty.

Developing a communication model - Therese Bushner will collect and bring several internal communication models with her to the next meeting so we can begin to dissect these to determine our strategy for building a working model for NCSC.

The committee discussed gathering information via a survey to try to pinpoint the most viable methods of communication from the various sectors of population on campus. We developed a series of questions to be used in the survey and team members will try to collect at least 6 responses from their own perspective areas. If possible, responses should be sent directly to Nikki by December 16th for compilation prior to the meeting on January 10th.

General discussion: The Communication Teams feels it is extremely important to begin developing relationships amongst the other teams to better coordinate distribution of information uniformly and in user friendly formats.
