AQIP at NC StateStatus/Progress at NCSC: Where we've beenStrategy Forum/Action ProjectsThe AQIP Steering Committee's Data Mining Process (Summer 2005) revealed three areas of opportunities for improvement at NC State -- Improving Communication, Using Data to Make Decisions, and Strategic Planning. These findings guided the Committee in determining the College's AQIP Action Project proposals for the March 2006 AQIP Strategy Forum. (Improving Communication and Using Data to Make Decisions were collaborative projects of AQIP and NC State's Achieving the Dream initiative.) The March 2006 Strategy Forum was attended by a cross-functional team. Members were Edie Humphrey, Dr. Ron Abrams, Keith Stoner, Peg Moir, Molly Hockenberry, Tom Prendergast, Don Plotts, and Kate Peresie. The Strategy for Action Workbook included the Action Project proposals. The Action Projects evolved or were refined at the Strategy Forum. The Using Data to Make Decisions project became the Improving Student Success in Developmental Education (Using Data) project. The Improving Communication project spun off from the Achieving the Dream initiative and became the Improving Communication of Official College Business project. The Strategic Planning project became the Selecting a Strategic Planning Model project.
