AQIP:  Who is involved?

   Steering Committee

  • The AQIP Steering Committee was established in January, 2005.

  • Mission:  To communicate, facilitate, coordinate and monitor the College's AQIP efforts and accomplishments throughout the College.

  • Continuing responsibilities of the Committee are:

    • Annual Reports to AQIP on Action Projects.
    • Maintaining/Updating the Systems Portfolio.
    • Attending Strategy Forums (every 4 years).
    • Planning/Conducting Quality Checkup Visit (every 7 years).

     

  • Membership:  Kate Peresie (Health and Public Service Faculty, Assessment Coordinator/AQIP Liaison), Committee Chair; Jim Hull (Dean Health and Public Service); Bruce Sliney (Assistant VP of Learning); Margaret Puckett (Business and Education Faculty); Keith Stoner (Dir. Marketing and Creative Services, MAC); Nikia Fletcher (Dir. Admissions/Enrollment Services, MAC); Tom Prendergast (Dir. IR and Grants, MAC); Peg Moir (VP of Learning Services and Retention, Pres. Staff), Lynn Damberger (Technology and Workforce Development Faculty), Molly Hockenberry (Health and Public Services Faculty); Don Plotts (Interim College President)

 

  • AQIP Steering Committee Policies: 

Action Projects:

  1. AQIP Action Project proposals initiated by the AQIP Steering Committee will go through Planning Advisory Council (PAC) approval processes – to tie them to strategic planning, strategic initiatives, and budget processes.
  2. The Committee may opt to select Action Projects from other PAC approved quality improvement projects as the Committee deems appropriate, especially where projects have direct impact on improvement opportunities aligned with AQIP Categories.
  3. The Committee will consider AQIP Action Project proposals from other College stakeholders, especially where projects have direct impact on improvement opportunities aligned with AQIP Categories.
  4. Action Project proposals should be submitted using the Action Project Proposal Form.

Strategic Planning:

The Committee will provide guidance to PAC in the strategic planning process regarding quality improvement project proposals and approvals and insight gained from the systems appraisal process.
