Program Goals
1.  The program will assure that it meets the needs of the health care community, and the curriculum reflects the current practices of the profession.
2.  The graduate will be competent as an entry-level radiographer.
3.  The graduates will have effective communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
4.  The graduate will demonstrate professional attitudes, behaviors and ethics.

A radiographer uses learned skills to produce images of the body using ionizing radiation. During the course of a day, a radiographer could be involved in general radiographic exams (hands, chest, feet, abdomen), trauma exams (car accidents, falls), or specialized exams. Radiographers need to be adaptable, creative, and personable. There is a high degree of patient involvement.  Employment opportunities exist in hospitals, clinics, private offices, or with mobile services. Some evenings and weekends are included as part of clinical education for additional trauma experience.

Concerning a Felony or Misdemeanor
Any student convicted of a crime MAY be eligible for registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists if they have served their entire sentence, including probation and parole, and have had their civil rights restored. The student should contact the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in writing for determination of registry eligibility prior to acceptance into the program.
