Integrated Systems
Technology (IST) Training is the newest, high-demand career opportunity
available today. IST workers maintain, calibrate and repair high-tech
electrical and mechanical equipment found in today's industrial
environments. There is a shortage of IST workers that will keep demand
high in the job market. NC State is one
of
only eight IST Training centers in the country.
The NC State IST Program features a unique, self-paced, flexibly scheduled with the adult learner in mind. There are no scheduled classes. Individuals can come in to our state of the art lab whenever their schedule allows. Instructors are available to assist each student as they have need for assistance. This situation allows each individual to move through the curriculum at a pace that best suits your needs, abilities, and schedules. The task-based, hands-on training integrates industrial processes, computer based simulations, interactive computer learning modules, and instructor led activities. Individualized Assessment is provided through the computer learning system and instructor hands on assessments. The IST curriculum provides a stimulating, rewarding, and exciting learning experience.
