The complexity of today’s classroom requires educational assistants that have a thorough understanding of the learning process, including the instruction of special-needs students and the recognition of appropriate classroom management techniques. The trained educational assistants will be prepared for the challenges they may face in the classroom. The burden placed on teachers is lessened due to the increased training of the educational assistant. In addition to the technical courses in this program, the student who is training to be an educational assistant will have opportunities to learn and apply the learned skills in actual situations through scheduled practicums. A certificate program is also available.
