Summary - How has American culture grown to become the international force it is today? How has our society developed to arrive where we are? This course will answer these questions through a study of how the American government and the U.S. legal system were created by the Framers; how American art, literature, and philosophy developed their own independent existence; and how American culture and politics were influenced by international events. You will gain a broad context for current events, modern American society, art and government.
