Things seem to be going pretty well. The classroom was very quiet on Wed. Greg was the only student in the classroom. April and Sharon have been regulars during class in the chat room. April, Sharon and Marc have been regulars in the discussion board.

email me your projects topics, storyboards and screen layouts if possible. At least let me know you have a topic. Think of a presentation on animation rather than a report or design project. Only need a main page plus 4 supplemental pages. See the flow chart video and Steps to Produce your Flash Project handouts for more information.

Today's messages:
I finally got an official version of the video capture software and replaced all of the videos. Let me know if any of them do not work. The full version offers zooming and call outs so check out the interface and toolbox videos for zooming and the flash shortcuts for callouts. Let me know if it helps you to learn the shortcuts. I changed the sound to a higher rate and got rid of the camtasia bug in the corner during the process.

Installation Trouble:
I have not found a demo copy of Flash MX. Continue to use Flash MX 2004 at home and I will install the demo copy on the instructors machine and in my office so that I can grade your MX 2004 files.

Discussion reminders:
The back to DMT page does not take you to the correct page.
This is still not fixed. I have to go through the IT department to get it changed. Who knows when that will get done.

We had sound in the chat room for who is entering and exiting but I don't think that there is sound when you post something.

Video Tutorials
All of the videos will be posted today. I have all but one ready to go. Lost Step five in the move from the pc to the mac. Have to go find it.

You will notice in the project tutorials that the last 2 pages/frames change their order during the movie. They go from character and then success to success and then character.

When you make the last frame on the timeline in all of the layers except for the action layer it should be a regular frame F5. In the video I make keyframes instead.

Evaluations of the students in the online section of DMT110
Instructor evaluations are in. If you would like to stop by and fill one out you can. I will hold the ones for this class until finals week, other classes are being turned in all at once. These go to the Dean and allow for comments. You can pick one up and turn it in to Sue in the office downstairs.

Extra Credit
Pay attention to the extra credit opportunity listed on the March 1st message page. I will take extra credit up until the last day of class.
