For help email Lynn
Today's
messages:
I
will post a message page for each days class. Always check it before
getting started. What will be listed here is information for the days
lesson as well as problems students may be having.
The message
page will have the most up to date information for and from students.
Installation
Trouble:
Some students have not been able to install from some of the disks that
I passed out. If you are having this problem and you still want to get
started on the demos download Flash MX 2004. I hope to find another
MX installer or work out downloading the demo to all of the work stations
in the lab. Check the messages for updated progress.
Discussion
reminders:
The back to DMT page does not take you to the correct page. It will
not be fixed until Monday
I will be in the chat room from 8-10:30 on Monday and Wednesday.
You can post anytime to any thread in the discussion forum, but post
at least 2 times per class meeting and at least once to the discussion
topic for that day.
How
to use the Video Tutorials
1. They are video flash file format. In the DMT lab they take about
40 seconds to download and start playing a 1 1/2 minute video, they
are much quicker on cable internet like zoom and road runner.
2. I recommend playing the video once or twice then actually
doing it while following playing and pausing the video.
3. You can save your files as reference if you want but you
will need to rebuild your animations in the final project. I will not
be looking at any of the demos, just the final project. You can email
me a file at any time.
Ebooks
on Flash:
There are many ebooks in the safari library on Flash. Make sure that
you can log on to Safari
ebooks at ohiolink.edu from home. When you have to choose the institution
that you are affiliated with choose Ohio State. If not stop by Bromfield
Library to get your name in the database.
Extra
Credit (you can do this anytime before the end of the quarter):
Bromfield Library has just acquired 12 new DMT books on various topics
from The History of Adobe to Flash and Photoshop. If you go to the library
and check out one of these books and email
me the title, author, copyright date, and ISBN number, I will give
you an extra credit point. Of course you don't have to check the book
out but if we check out these books a lot then I can request more.
