Financial
Aid is money provided to students to help them afford to attend the College.
Most aid fits
into three categories: 1) grants and scholarships (usually does
not have to be repaid), 2) loans (requires repayment), and 3) student
employment (a part-time job, usually on campus). Most, but not all, aid is based on demonstrated financial
need (see How to Apply), and for the most part college financial aid is
provided by federal and state tax payers.
