Dear Future P.T.A., Well done, you have made an inquiry about a profession that the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates as the sixteenth fastest growing occupation in America. As a licensed physical therapist assistant you will enter a profession that has been respected by other health professionals and the public for over 60 years. As a physical therapist assistant you will provide the hands on treatment for individuals that have experienced a traumatic illness or injury. This treatment may take place in numerous health care settings including; hospital, sports medicine clinic, private office, individual home, nursing home or school system. This career path will provide knowledge in the use of modem technology and specialized techniques that motivate physical independence. Our physical therapist assistant program has achieved the highest standard in accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, Limited class size allows for development of life long friendships and successful student learning. The program emphasizes classroom and clinical learning experiences.
